--project-- 101 Gadgets that Changed the World -
Once again we Teamed with Percolate Digital to create 10 animated shots for the History Channels show. For this production, we designed, the X-ray/technical drawing look, all the animations, rendering and textures seen in the following reel. We also modeled the stopwatch, aerosol spray, duct tape, mag-light, lightbulbs, flashdrive and led elements. The other models we cleaned up to be used for animation and render correctly with no wholes or smoothing errors.
--project-- Solving History - Nazi Mummies
We worked with Percolate Digital to create 19 new shots for the series Solving History on the Discovery Channel.
On this show we created matching lighting and integrated 3d objects into live action plates that were shot on location in Germany.
Several shots in the show are all 3d creations that Pixel Eight was tasked to create.
This show is setting a new standard in how non-fiction television is produced. Pixel Eight working alongside the other vendors and Percolate Digital shared assets and resources in teaming up to produce live action story telling that has statically integrated 3d fx that brings more excitement and creativity to the story telling experience, that non-fiction television has not been known for. This technique has been used for years in film and scripted television, but is now possible to non-fiction due to our studios keen eye to cost effectiveness. This is the second time that
Percolate Digital has trusted Pixel Eight, for designing and creating engaging 3d under tight deadlines for Television production. The first collaboration was for Treasure Quest in early 2009.
Percolate Digital is led by Tom Schmidt who specialize in producing digital content creation for non-fiction series.

--project-- Star Ledger - The Jersey Star Ledger,
has been reporting and investigating the unusual sinking of the Lady Mary for some time. To aid in their reporting they contact Pixel Eight, to build high resolution model of the ill fated ship and animate a sequence illustrating how it may have sunk.

--project-- Treasure Quest - Episode 102
For this episode of Treasure Quest we worked on 4 shots involving a french privateer that is saling then sunk by the british. We specifically created water displacements, and textures. The lighting and fx(fire and debris0 for each of these shots along with the camera and ship animations.

--project-- Treasure Quest - Episode 104
On this episode we helped identify a decent 3rd party model of the sub for purchase, then Modified its textures to reflect, specular and light properly. We also created the water displacement and water textures. Other aspects we created the explosions, other various fx and lighting for these four shots.

--project-- Treasure Quest - Episode 107
This episode centered around the wreckage of the ocean liner Lusitania. Our work on this episode is our highlight for the series. We completed 8 shots for the show, showing all underwater views of the ship as it sanked and how it may look today. specifically for these shots we created all of the underwater fx and textures, modeled the underwater sea terrain, textured the terrain and a wreckage texture for the ship. We created all lighting along with the animation and camera movement.

In the 8 shots for this episode we created animation for the underwater craft animation, water displacements and textures, lighting and the fx. along with some model changes to the sub, and wreckage detail and texture to the Lacona.

--project-- Percolate Digital - Once again Percolate Digital entrusted Pixel Eight in creating high resolution models and rendering for one of their productions.
This time it is for a show idea into space they are currently pitching.
We took low resolution mesh from 3ds Max that had some design and smoothing issues, and basically rebuilt the entire model in Modo using Subdivision surfaces. The model is those better topographically, and easier to manage or edit for future productions.

--project-- Cars: Maternational game
Used XSI and Mental Ray to create high resolution controller models for in game UI graphics for either a photo-real look or stylized. Controllers then was integrated in various ways either using the pre-made UI template, or design of new controller page.
Also Used 3dsMax to and Photoshop to create specific new textures for Mcqueen to be used in a mini game, along with screens detailing tips for the user to be successful in the various contest. Also created beauty shots for various characters or chapter breaks.

--project-- Jimmy Neutron - Before Starting Pixel Eight, Jeremy Totel was contracted at Dna Productions as the Lead Environmental Technical Director, to produce light kits, loaders, and schemes for the Jimmy Neutron TV series.

--project-- The New Captain Scarlet - The following is some examples of escape model, wheat field environment, lighting, and fx examples that Jeremy Totel created for Indestructible Productions series of the New Captain Scarlet.

With animation it has become possible for doctors, hospitals, and others to showcase how their procedures and medicines work in helping the human body. LipoNow had Pixel Eight create this animation show casing how their injections work on riding the body of fatty cells.
